Tonight's outreach was AMAZING! (I love how they all start out that way because God's always so AMAZING.)
On the way to the club, God assured me that He was already there, working on the hearts to receive Him. He wasn't joking! When we first got there, the doorman thought it was great that we were giving the girls gifts and let us in with no cover charge. The first girl that came over sat down and shared about where she lived, her family and bible study and the Rock. She seemed interested and wanted go to a Christmas Eve service. The second girl that came over and sat down said she has gone to the Rock before but always seems to forget when it's Sunday. She's currently involved with a woman with kids but loved hearing
how God loves her right where she's at. I asked her if I could pray for her. She said, "YES, thank you." She asked for prayer for strength. She also talked about how her girlfriend is struggling and needs prayer. She's had a hard life and recently got out of prison. We exchanged numbers and she may bring her girlfriend to church. She aslo asked to receive daily Scripture texts. Praise God! As we were leaving, we met the owner of the club. He used to be a doorman when I was a dancer way back when. He remembered me (and my laugh) and welcomed us back anytime we'd like. He gave me his phone number so we may keep in contact with him.
Have a wonderful week!
Email Response from Outreach:
I just thought I would let you know that I spoke with the manager of the club you went to the other night. I am a police officer and I stop by as I am on patrol to chat with him when he is outside the club. I started talking to him about your ministry and asked if your group had ever come by with the pink bibles. He mentioned you had just been there a few days ago. Anyway the reason I wanted to let you know I spoke with him is because I wanted to relay to you what he told me. He said you ladies were so loving. Then he seemed to be struggling to find the right word to describe his thoughts. Finally he said…"they were so nonjudgemental." He said it was really "cool" to have you there. I just thought you might like to hear that. Thanks you for sharing your ministry stories with me. You really do a wonderful job of sharing God's love.
